Nea's fangirling

Only 301 words were written that day. Sad. I need to write 1900 a day to be done in time. Right now I'm like 5300 under the given total... Well, but at least I like the story and writing it is fun. <3

5131 words at the end of the day. Goal of the day missed by 1550, but who is counting, right?

Other than that I've started a brand new fic yesterday and it went way better than the attempts before. Have written 7 pages yesterday, and it felt great. Still have no idea if I'll be able to catch up, thouh, but I'm not giving up yet.

And I have no idea what it's gonna be in the end: kid!fic? Crossover? Both? Can't say, we'll see...

I'm 3000 words behind, because real life decided to be a bitch yesterday, but generally I can say that it's going better. Let's hope I'll be able to catch up today soon.

I still don't like the beginning, but I'm past it now and feel more comfortable with the things and twists that are ahead of me.

One thing that this whole NaNo experience confirmed for me was: I can't write when I don't know how to start. I don't need to know the middle or the end of a fic, but knowing the start beforehand is a must.

What a horrible weekend. The Norwegian tragedy on Friday (my birthday will never be the same, ever, from now on), Amy Winehouse yesterday and the anniversary of the Love Parade stampede today. Usually I can handle such things. I feel sorry for the victims and everyone involved in whatever tragedy happened, yet can go on with my own stuff. But this weekend I can feel my coping mechanisms fail. It may be because all of it happened around my birthday or because I'm already stressed out by the thesis from hell, but I feel so incredibly drained...

That's why I came up with a Love-Picspam. Maybe it will help and make me feel a bit better, I don't know... It kinda turned into TSN-only. I promise to do one without them next week.

This is a nightmare. I can't believe it. I can't even imagine Bam without him!

I'm reading The accidental billionaires by Ben Mezrich atm. The Social Network is based on it and it's basically a fan fic. And not a bad one. Not the best, but it's certainly worth reading. Because the author surely ships them.

Examples:
But then, as now, Eduardo had been too busy chasing his dream to spend time thinking about the awkward kid in the corner. Certainly he had no way of knowing, then or now, that the kid with the curly hair was one day going to take the entire concept of social network and turn it on its head. That one day, the kid with the curly hair struggling through that prepunch party was going to change Eduardo's life more than any Final Club ever could.

or, totally flirting, while they're passing a library. (They've just exchanged a couple of sentences for the first time)

'I'm going to have sex in those stacks, I swear it's gonna happen.' [Eduardo said]

It was an old Harvard tradition – something you were supposed to do before you graduated. [...]

'Baby steps,' Mark responded. 'Maybe you should try getting a girl back to your dorm, first.'

Eduardo winced, then grinned again. He was starting to like this kid's caustic sense of humor.

Eduardo grinned to himself; in a matter of a few short weeks, he and Mark had become close friends. Even though they lived in different houses and had different majors, Eduardo felt that they had a similar spirit—and he’d begun to notice an almost strange feeling that they were supposed to be friends, even before they were. In that short time, he’d grown to really like Mark, had begun to think of him like a real brother, not just someone who shared a Jewish frat, and he was pretty sure Mark felt the same way about him.

And very random, but Boombox Beatsteaks' new album is fantastic! Go and buy it, everyone!

I ordered the first two seasons of Breaking Badas a xmas gift for myself and they arrived just the other day! It's a show about a chemistry teacher who gets cancer and starts to cook meth to leave money for his family.

Of course I had to check immediately, if the DVDs are okay, so I watched the pilot *ggg* and while I was at it I had to take some screencaps almost 200 *cough* don't judge, mkay? and now I share them with you:
