Sometimes Michael just couldn't stop staring at Lincoln; the way he moved had always fascinated him.
02 – Cool
He seemed cool, almost distant when he visited his brother in jail for the first time but he only tried to hide his fear of losing Lincoln.
03 – Young
They were young and naive enough to think that it was just a one night stand, something that would pass within weeks.
04 – Last
He was too young to die like that; they were both prisoners – their last day together just shouldn't be like this.
05 – Wrong
His older brother made a lot of mistakes, stupid things, but it was impossible that Lincoln - *his* Lincoln – murdered Terrence Steadman.
06 – Gentle
Soft kisses, gentle touches; Michael came up with many different ways to wake him and make Lincoln forget that he was not a morning person.

Lincoln was always the one for him – and vice versa.

An ancient Japanese legend says: "Anyone who folds a thousand origami cranes will be granted a wish"; Michael wondered how many cranes he had to fold to have his wish fullfilled...

"You are King Arthur and Uncle Mike is Lancelot," announced LJ after reading the legend of King Arthur and his knights.

Michael touches him sometimes with this very focused look on his face, letting his hands and fingers explore Lincoln's whole body, always wanting to know how his brother 'works'.

The lines between their brotherly feelings and what they really felt became more blurry with every day.
12 – Wait
"I can't wait any longer," admitted Lincoln and kissed him.
13 – Change
Michael standing in front of him with the blueprints tattooed on his body changed everything between them.

"Don't move...“ Michael demanded, kneeling over him, and grabbed the bottle with the chocolate-sauce.

Michael wrapped his arms around his older brother and nuzzled against his back.

"D'you need anything?“ His lips brushed Lincoln's earlobe as he spoke.
17 – Vision
The dream LJ told him about before his execution became reality: they were older, had a house, were a family again.

After they destroyed the company and went back to Panama, Michael finds little red origami cranes once in a while: leaning against his favourite coffee-mug, in the backpocket of his jeans or between the pages of whatever book he reads at the moment; Lincoln just shrugs and grins, saying he has no idea where they come from.

They have this unique connection that noone and nothing can ever break.
20 – Picture
Spending the next ten years with Michael in a hammock in Panama was a thought he could more than just get used to.
21 – Fool
"Never do that again!“ Lincoln demanded when they were alone again after he heard what Michael had offered the former prison warden as consideration for his help – luckily Pope changed his mind and didn't call the police.
22 – Mad
It seemed crazy to want to be together but knowing that they both want it and don't act on it was even more so.
23 – Child
LJ had his father's bodylanguage and his uncle's temper – sometimes Lisa thought that he had more characteristics from them than from her.
24 – Now
"God... Mike... please...“ Lincoln managed to say between gasps and moans and Michael could come from that alone, because he could make Lincoln shudder and talk like that.
25 – Shadow
"You're standing in the light," Michael said with a smirk, without looking up from the book he was reading, to the 'shadow' who had been watching him for a few minutes now.
26 – Goodbye
All that he was able to do now was to hug Lincoln as tightly as he could and remind him of the place they should meet again in three days: Bolshoi Booze.
27 – Hide
"Hiding is a great idea...“ Lincoln murmured at Michael's ear who nodded, grinning – they haven't left the bed in the cabin of the 'Christina Rose' for days.
28 – Fortune
To be with Michael in that car, believing that noone and nothing can hurt them for at least a short moment was the biggest fortune Lincoln had had for years.
29 – Safe
"Where are you going?" Lincoln asked as Michael picked up his jacket to go with him and Michael knew he had to stay at home again -the places Lincoln went to and the people he met there were not safe for Michael.
30 – Ghost
"I don't think they care about that now, as long as we are happy," Lincoln answered when Michael asked if their parents hate them know, because they are together.
31 – Book
"What are you reading?" Lincoln asked, kissing his neck and grinning because it took Michael a while to remember the title.
32 – Eye
"It's just a black eye – that's nothing," Michael tried to calm him down when they met again after he'd seen the president, demanding that she announce Lincoln's innocence in public.
33 – Never
The would never be just brothers again – but they probably never were normal brothers anyway.
34 – Sing
Startled from the noise (started by Sucre's singing) he thought immediately of Michael and hoped his brother was safe.
35 – Sudden
"We did it!" said Lincoln, looking at the ocean in front of him, and suddenly turned to Michael and kissed him passionately.
36 – Stop
They should have broken the kiss at that point, but instead Michael put his arms around Lincoln and deepened it.
37 – Time
Time wasn't important anymore, nothing was important anymore, except them kissing.
38 – Wash
The hot shower felt perfectly good on his skin after all these stresses and strains and Michael sighed contented when Lincoln stepped into the shower cabin as well.
39 – Torn
Lincoln looked really great in those ripped and washed out jeans and the black turtleneck pullover and Michael liked him like that way more than he should.
40 – History
Little Lilly Sucre loved the stories her Uncle Mike and Uncle Lincoln were telling her each time she saw them – especially the one about Prince Fernando who has been freed by two knights from a fortress so he could live happily ever after with Princess Maricruz; there was an evil witch of course, too and Uncle Lincoln came up with many different ways to get rid of her.
41 – Power
No one could even imagine how strong the love between them must have been and what they were ready to do for each other.
42 – Bother
It took him some time to figure it out, why it bothered him so much to see women or other men flirting with Lincoln.
43 – God
Them being brothers must have been a mean cosmic joke.
44 – Wall
He was drunken and actually wanted to write 'Lincoln + Lisa = LJ' as a silly romantic gesture on the wall of an old empty factory building, but when he was done with it, there was 'L+M' on the wall instead, so he decided not to show it to Lisa; sometimes he wants to go back there and check if it's still readable.
45 – Naked
They tried unpatiently to get rid of their clothes as fast as possible and kissed and touched every inch of the skin underneath.
46 – Drive
During the driving lessons his older brother was giving him, Michael just pretended to be unsure about his driving so he could spend as much time with Lincoln as possible – but Lincoln would never know about that.
47 – Harm
They experienced so much harm that it was enough for two lives but there will be better times at some point, times where there would be just them, Michael and Lincoln and no one else.
48 – Precious
'Whoever saves one life saves the world entire,' the Talmud says and Lincoln *was* his whole world.

While he had been locked up he was kind of starving for freedom, for life, for Michael.

"I dont think there's anything under your bed besides dust maybe," Lincoln said, but he took a proving look anyway, while his little brother bit his lip and watched him admiringly.
