″You can't look at him like that, Lincoln...“ Veronica said suddenly with a sideways glance at him.
Lincoln cleared his throat and lit up a cigarette. ″I don't know what you mean...“
″It's just different...“ she began hesitantly. ″And he looks at you the same way...“
″You know Mike... you know how he is...“ He said after a long moment, not looking at her.
Veronica sighed. ″It's nothing...“ she replied and silenced.
