Oh, in-character-ness. ♥ It totally is a make or break for a fic because some authors don't seem to understand the concept at all and it's so annoying (especially when the story could be good but is just so wrong because of that)

And I totally love the possessive thing, too! (shocking that we agree on something!) I agree with all of yours (though for me, it depends on the specific tattoo. I love those really big, intricate ones that are just like art. Those blow me away.
